Abstract:	This paper attempts to broaden the scope of the term Indianization, and endeavours to demonstrate that the archaeological record of Iron Age Southeast Asia (5th century BC-4th century AD) shows the same processes of adoption of Indic techno-cultural traditions by indigenous Southeast Asian communities as revealed by the art historical record.
