Abstract:	Chemical analyses of about 200 ancient glasses from China, Japan, Korea, Southeast Asia, and India are reported. It is hoped that these data will provide a starting point for classifying Asian glasses according to their places and dates of manufacture. They are already valuable for indentifying imports from "The West."
