The study aims at classifying the geomorphology of Quaternary deposits of Khon Kaen area in details. The interpretation of aerial photographs, topographical base map, direct field observation as well as the laboratory analysis of surficial materials are employed in order to identify several morphological units concerned. The finding of the present investigation reveals that there are four main geomorphological units, notably, lakes, and rises, floodplain, and terraces. It is interesting to note that all these four units are very distinctive in characteristics. Besides, they are originated from two different geological processes. Lakes and floodplain are apparently of fluvial origin, whereas sand rises and terraces are of eolian origin.
