| Abstract: | Taat Hill Cave 2 is located at GR 256355 Sheet 48 Series 1, 7010 in Kenyir Dan (2, 590 sq km) in Upper Terengganu, Terengganu. An archaeological site has been discovered in that cave. The excavation was carried out between 28 September and 3 October 1991. Its findings have enabled excavators to identify the site as "Hoabinhian" and early Neolithic. Radio-carbon dating has established that the date of the site settlement is between 5010 +/- 60 B. P. and 6730 +/- 60 B.P. Among the finds are shells, bones, stone artefacts, and earthenware sherds. |
