Abstract:	This essay describes two new statues discovered recently in Cambodia. The first one is a small bronze Maitreya from Kampong Speu, now in the Phnom Penh Museum. It would date from the 8th century. The second is an unfinished stone Buddha of pre-Angkorian style. It was found in the Angkor Borei region, where it is still kept.
