Abstract:	Argues that late Pleistocene population in Southeast Asia was australomelanesian but "neolithic" and modern Southeast Asians have dual characteristics with northeast Asians. There is a problem as to what constitutes "neolithic" in his sample in that it appears that series from Ban Kao and "neolithic Laos," which could be early Holocene, are lumped.
