Notes: Pejros says that the Austroasiatic homeland was in a non-tropical, but subtropical or mountainous region. by 4000 BC Munda had split from Mon Khmer and by 3000 BC Mon Khmer split. Rice vocabulary was in proto-Austroasiatic. Proto Mon-khmer suggests sophisticated level of rice cultivation.
