Ceramics of South East Asia mentioned in this paper are the ones shipped from harbor towns of the South-China Sea commercial area. In those days, industrial workers and trade merchants were quite independent from the countries to which they belonged. As they did not have strong feeling towards their government, imported ceramics from South East Asia, which include ceramics from South China, had a period of peak in the course of history of Japan
its peak is contemporary with the period of the historical movements among the countries of East and South Asia. These movements were caused by political attitudes of trade merchants. Ceramics of South East Asia were brought to Japan by commercial activities among immigrants from South China. They caused the historical movements among the countries of East and South East Asia. Furthermore, trade ceramics adopted by newly established governments initiated the commercial movement and the usage by people.
