Abstract: English summary on page 51 as follows: The south area of Hau River - the western province of the Mekong delta - knew previously only remains of Angkor from the 11th to the 16th centuries. Bai Xau site in My Xuyen district (Soc Trang province) recently investigated and other sites in Tra Vinh and Minh Hai provinces have revealed that people lived here in the time of the Oc Eo Culture. The evidences from the investigation at Bai Xau showed that people has moved to settle here since the beginning of the CE up to now.
