Abstract: English summary on page 36 as follows: Hop Minh relics at Tran Yen district, Yen Bai province, have been found in June 1995, including one intact bronze jar used as a coffin and a cover with handled designed with S-shaped spirals. On the cover, there are 11 cocentric circles of designsand a sun with 19 rays in the centere. On the jar, there are 37 bands of decoration. The 8th band consists of 19 birds with long beaks. The 15th band describes a figured scene: feathered dancers, house, store, rice-pounders..., similar to the scenes on the Ngoc Lu, Hoang Ha an Co Loa drums. The 30th band has 16 animals with long muzzles and high legs like deers, but they don
t look like those that have been seen on Ngoc Lu drum. In the jar, there was a skeltonof a little girl and funeral goods, including bronze axe, bell, dagger, and especially and earing with four knobs made of jade.
