Abstract:	The natural ecosystems of Vietnam (and SEA) were/are the generalized ones. And culture(s) was/is the man-made environment, the adaption and transformation of man to natural environment. From Hoabinhian and Bacsonian cultures to Dongsonian culture, that was the development from Valley-Cultures to Delta-Culture. Though the Dongsonians were mainly deltaic, but the Dongsonian sites are wide spread from mountainous and hilly areas to the sea coast. It means that the Dongsonians lived in various ecosystems and the old Vietnamese were clever artists of resilience.
