Abstract: Giong Phet situated at Long Hoa hamlet, Can Gio district, HCM, city. The site was excavated in February 1993, but the results weren't published. In April 1993, the author of this paper conducted again a survey of this site and dealed with 6 jar burials which had been unearthed. Giong Phet's jars were globular with diameter various from 64-70cm, 50cm high, red outside and black matrix. The diameters of the jar mouths are 25, 6cm, body's diameter is 31cm, 25cm in height. Artifacts obtained from these burials are 3 iron spearheads, one iron ring, one agate bead, stone and glass rings. Besides, the author also obtained some ceramics at the site. A thermoluminescence date from one sample is of 2420 ±484 BP. Thsi might be an early date of this site.
