The contribution of the Paleolithic archaeology to the perception of the prehistory of Vietnam and Southeast Asia is considerable. However, the problems to solve is not small, not simple for a young science, especially the Paleolithic archaeology: 1) Datings of Paleolithic sites ever known in Vietnam. 2) Identifying the specific cultural characteristics of the industries in the Late Paleolithic. 3) The relationship between the Sonvi culture and pebble industries of the Hoabinhian and other cultures. 4) Reconstruction of the prehistoric societies in the Paleolithic.
