The Go Mun culture was a Bronze Age culture in the plain and the midland in Red River valley. This culture came into being from the Dong Dau culture and was one root of the Dong Son culture in this area. Therefore, the Go Mun culture had the direct relations to the Dong Dau culture before it and the Dong Son culture after it. The masters of the Go Mun culture also have had the relationships with the inhabitants at the same age in the Ma River valley, the Ca River valley and other areas in Vietnam and in Southeast Asia through exchange and trade.
