Abstract: At the end of 1990, Vietnam - Japan archaeological delegation made an excavation at Lang Vac and found a laterit layer with pebble tools under a burial layer to Dong Son culture. Four siter with pebble tools has been found at Lang Vac. These sites distributed on the second terrace of Ca river. Stone tools are mainly quartz, roughly chipped, unifacialflaked and little retouched with medium size and large blade angle. Typical tools of Son Vi culture were few, chiefly End Choppers and Rotund scrapers. This collection of pebble tools probably belonged to upper paleolithic, older than Son Vi culture.
