English summary on page 80 as follows: Analysing the main characteristics of the two typpes of Hoa binh sites-the caves and the open air sites - the author had pointed out the follow comments: 1 - The cave sites gained the absolute majority, that is the main character of the Hoabinh culture in mainland Southeast Asia and northern Indochina. The site location density is high in the North and low in the south. Almost of Hoabinh sites are located in the Karst valleys thence the Hoabinhian may be called "valley culture" 2 - The Hoabinhian people are carrying out two kinds of habitation: in the caves during the wet season, and in the open air sites during the dry season. 3 - The Hoabinh culture developed during the Flandrian transgression time between the Pleistocene and Holocene, at about 10000 years BP.
