English summary oon page 41 as follows: The 15th, 16th, 17th centuries were brilliant developments ones of blue and white ceramics and glazed earthenwares (faiences) in Vietnam. According to the author, there were 4 production centres of blue and white ceramics with their own charcateristics. - Hop Le was the oldest centre, the blue and white ceramics here bears a lot of features of celadon glazed ceramics - Cay came into existence after Hop le continuing the technical style of Hop Le. Main products of this centre were blue-painted bowls, plates with hegh ringfood and chrysanthemun designs. Bat Trang appeared at the same time with Cay but unrelated to the style of Hop Le. - Chu Dau emerged and disappeared rather suddenly. Besides daily poular ceramics, there are a lot of high quality stonewares and porcelaings, mainly used to export.
