English summary on page 4 as follws: The problem of the appearance of pottery in Vietnam was raised a relatively long time ago. up to now, there are two main points of view: 1) Pottery emergerd from the Hoa Binh and Bac Son cultures ans then developed into the coastal areas. 2) Potter emerged from the cultures in coastal areas and the diffuses to the Hoa Binh and Bac Son inhabitants. With some evidence and theoretical facts, the author is inclined to the second point of view. And more importantly there was the connection of dissemination of pottery in the mountainous areas with the two transgressions about 4 - 5,000 and 2,500 - 3,5000 B.P.
