English summary on page 21 as folloews: Basing himself on the achievements in the study of the Bac Son culture, the author places the Bac Son Culture in the relation with the flake industry at Nguom. The Bac Son culture is considered as a macrolithic industry. There is a similarity and difference in character between Nguom and Bac Son industries. From the data of Doi Cave (Bac Thai prov.) and Nguom Rockshelter, the author states that in cavesin the area of Bac Son limestone mountains, there was a stage before the Bac Son culture and this was probably of pre-Bac Son culture. Nowadays, it is possible to consider the culture layer I (upper layer) at Nguom Rockshelter and the lower layer of Doi Cave as representatives of this stage.
