English summary on page 48 as follows: The raw material of pottery played a basic role in the process of ancient pottery production. Basing herself on the ethnographic data about traditional pottry making and the study of pottery material in archaeology the author emphasizes two basic properties of clay namely plasticity and malleability. potters usually ass the temper in the past to reduce its plasticity and increase its materialbility. therefore, the study of raw material has become an important part in the study of pottery production. The author introduces a series of methods of studying pottery material such as chemical spectroscopic chemical, perographic and thermal analysis, X-ray and ß-ray Emission method, the plasticity water measuring method and experimental method... From whence, experiment is a specially necessary method in the study of ancient pottery.
