English summary on page 35 as follows: Through scrutinizing the topography of the habitat, the living environment, the landscpe and other ancient ecological conditions of the populations in the early Metal Age in Viet Nam (those of the Phung Nguyen period in the Red River basin, the Con Chan Tien and hoa Loc periods in the basin of M River, the Con nen and Long Thanh - Sa Huynh periods in the coastal area and those of the Phuoc Tan period in the basin of Dong Nai river), the author remarks: At the beginning of the Metal Age, ancient people in Viet Nam were distributed over a very large area, from the mountains to the coasts, from the north to the South, and created in various local types of rice planting agriculture.
