Title:	A study on the subrecent molar teeth from Ulu Leang Cave, Marcos, South Sulawesi

Abstract:	228 molar teeth, consisting of 107 upper molars and 121 lower molars, from an archaeological site in South Sulawesi were studied. The molar occlusal patterns were 4/3+ /3 for the upper molar, and +5/ +4/ +5 or +5/ +4/Y4 for the lower molar. the incidence of Carabelli's trait was 27.1%. Comparative study was made with other prehistoric populations, indicating its affinity being more Mongoloid than of any other races.
