Abstract: Seven wood fossils from the Sangrian area, Central Java, probably came from the Notopuro beds and Pucangan beds, but not from the Kalibeng beds. One of the fossils, i. e. no. 565/Ms., shows anatomical features as gymnosperm, and the rest show the anatomical characteristics of Dicotyledon woods. Furthur taxonomic identification, lower than Gymnosperms and Dicotyledons, needs comparative material of plant wood growing at the upper levels where the fossils originated
