Abstract:	Bipolar knapping is considered to be advantageous when mobility is low, and the relative abundance of bipolar cores may therefore be a measure of residential mobility. Using these propositions the difference between assemblages in the Kakadu coastal wetlands is explored by focusing on the frequency of bipolar cores within each site.
