Abstract:	The debate about whether or not the Movius Line is a realistic representation of difference in stone tool technology between Western and Eastern Asia has been revived because of recent discoveries of bifaces in China, Korea and Japan. This paper reviews some of the pertinent artefactual and chronological evidence from Eastern Asia.
