Abstract:	Analysis of the strontium content of bone samples from three Late Archaic period cemeteries in the Midwestern United States is used to reconstruct prehistoric human diets. Deer bone is used as a baseline for the comparison of spatially-disparate locations in Wisconsin and Ohio. Results from the analyses provide objective estimates of the composition of human diet in the Late Archaic and a perspective on regional variation.
