Abstract: pg 409 Mg is abundant in nuts, berries, and most vegetables. Evidence of Sr is concentrated in both plant material and seafood. K is known to leach out of bone of time (Lambert et al 1985) Mn is characteristically low in foods. Zn is very common, but has a tendency to remain low in concentration over time due to diagenesis (Klepinger 1984
Lambert et al 1985). Also the emulsions on the available film may not be sensitive enough to allow a definite distinction to be made at the low end of the spectrum. The loss of photo sensitivity may be explain because Zn is easily consumed at temps. as low as 500 degrees Celsius, thus may be lost before it can be captured on conventional film. pg 410 Cooper is highly sensitive to diagenetic effects (Lambert et al 1985). It can enter the bone either by heteroionic exchange or by filling of the void. Postmorem contamination may also contribute.
