| Abstract: |
Bronze drum research is the focus of ancient bronze culture research in southern China and Southeast Asia. Due to different archaeological excavations and academic research traditions, Chinese and Vietnamese scholars have formed completely different views on the development and evolution of early bronze drums. In recent years, reflections on the methods haven been conducted. Some scholars have tried to put the development and evolution of bronze drums in the overall framework of the bronze cultures in China and Southeast Asia, and have obtained some new understandings. Of course, in addition to the change of research paradigm, we also need to strengthen the scientific detection of early bronze drums and the employment of various theories, in order to further expand the breadth and depth of the bronze drum research, and promote it into a new stage. |
