Abstract: Thailand is located on the main route of faunal exchange and human dispersion during the Pleistocene and is straddled on two biozoogeographic subregions: the Sundaic and Indochinese subregion. During the Pleistocene, the diversity of the fauna community was more important in relation to the region's environmental characteristics and paleogeography. is paleobiodiversity, identifed in paleontological and archeological sites, shows the renewal of some taxa, the absence of some of them and reveals the first appearance of Homo sapiens. This Ailuropoda-stegodon faunal complex characteristics of Pleistocene Southeast Asia, extirpated from Thailand in the terminal Pleistocene-Holocene. Even if the erosion of biodiversity, focusing on terrestrial mammals, is attested between the end of the Pleistocene and the Holocene due to a clear rise drove by recent Homo sapiens behavior, as a major fact during the last century. Solutions against this loss of fauna can be and should be undertaken by recent human society. The gathering of knowledge from different investigations could help politics take major decisions to avoid the massive extinction of the tropical ecosystems during this century.
