Abstract:	This editorial announces the first issue of the Bulletin of the Indo-Pacific Prehistory Association (BIPPA) under new editorship. It reflects on the transition of the journal to the University of Washington, thanks contributors, and encourages submissions from the archaeological community. The issue highlights the importance of training East Timorese staff in archaeological techniques and documenting cultural heritage, particularly in Timor-Leste, through workshops and fieldwork.
