Abstract:	East Javanese reliefs of Tantri stories such as Arjunawiwāha and Sri Tanjung from the Majapahit period, especially between AD 1350-1450 are discussed with particular reference to the possible use by sculptors of standard texts or pictures in other media which have not survived.
