The author reviews the discoveries with jar-burials in Southeast Asia and compares them with jar-burials in the Sa Huynh Culture. The author states that jar-burials are of one of the most important characteristics of the Sa Huynh Culture as well as of Southeast and Northeast Asia but it is not easy to consider them as from one "Complex" or "culture". The article notices the similarities and dyerences of the customs of jar-burials between the Sa Huynh Culture and the areas. In the Southeast Asian Island, jar-burying customs had been maintained until recently. The author also mentions the funeral goods in the areas, the style of decoration on pottery, especially the conservation and development of incised designs in the Iron Age in the Sa Huynh Culture.
