Abstract: Bo Khieu Cave at Yen Phu hamlet, Ba Me district, Ha Giang province was discovered in December 1996. In May 1997 the Institute of Archaeology carried out an investigation at this site. Cultural artifacts found in the pits show that the cave was used for settlement of different groups of inhabitants in various stages. The primitive inhabitants were owners of pebble choppers in the Late paleolithic. The subsequent ones were those who used impressed pottery dating from the beginning of the Christian Era. Later, there were groups of inhabitants of various historical periods.
