From the study of 98 skulls of modern Viets (48 males', 50 females') with 8 described features, 121 measurements and 24 indicec, the author states that: - As the described features: skulls of modern Viets have the most common forms, egg forms (males') and pentagonal forms (females'). Female supraorbital areas are flat, male ones of average. Glabella area, nasal bone, occipital torus, unclear in sex defference. Prenasal fossa, prenasalgroove, metopic suture are rare features. - As the measurement: Male skulls are with higher cheekbones, higher and larger nasal fossa, broader dental arcade and palate, smaller orbital height. Male skulls are longer and higher with larger brain capacity. Female skulls have protruded sagittal crest but the lower part of the sides of female skulls are narrower, their forefront bones are flatter than males'. According to the classification of Alexeev and Debes, most measurements of modern Viet skulls (both sexes) are of average. The skull indices show that both male and female skulls of Viet people are medium (mesocranic), tending to be short (brachycranic) with high skulls, average faces, average orbital fossa, broad nasal fossa, palate and dental arcade are broad and no prognatism.
