Abstract: With 48 skulls of modern Viets collected from Van Dien cemetery in Hanoi, the author compares 10 features of size and 7 features of skull form to some Southeast Asian inhabitants (such as Laos, Thai, Khmers, Thuong, Kha South chinese) and comes to conclusion: - All the skulls have distinctive Mongoloide characteristics at various rates. - These skulls all have remarkable interrelation at the anthropological aspect. - Viet people as well as Southeast Asian inhabitants, including the south Chinese, share a common type: Southeast Asian Type.
