| Abstract: | English summary on page 66 as follows: Vinh Hung in Vinh Loi district, Minh Hai province is not only an ancient tower but also an importnat archaeological site that helps us to further understand a period of the Oc Eo culture which we temporarily called Vinh Hung stage. Vinh Hung stage has the following characteristics: pottery still consists of black matrix and white slip there is white matrix pottery with high firing temperature. Especially in this stage appeared porcelain though the glazed cover is thin and firing temperature is low. We have found these characteristics not only at Vinh Hung but also in the upper layer of Den site, Ham Ninh site (Kien Giang province). The stage of Vinh Hung dates from the 7th-8th to the 12th-13th centuries A.D. |
