Abstract: English summary on page 41 as follows: The metal age in the north mountaineous area so far has been known chiefly through artifacts found scatteredly and casually in the area. Consequently, however, many important sites like Bat Xat, Doi Thuy Tinh (Lao Cai prov), Yen Hop, Dao Thinh, Hop Minh (Yen Bai prov) Da Do (So La prov) ... have been discovered and initially studied. At least, 445 bronze specimen are kept in the museum of ninie mountaineous provinces and the History Museum of Vietnam which are described and classifies into 33 types. Apart from common cultural characteristics of Metal Age of the North of Vietnam, it is possible to realize local cultural identities.
