Abstract: English summary on page 28 as follows: Based on the study of Holocene sediments of alluviual and proluvial origins in the West of Lang Son, the author deals with the relationship between these sediments and srchaeological remains. The Holocene sediments in the srea have not almost eroded, meanwhile the Pleistocene sediments have already been at different degrees. Early Holocene sediments formed flat terrains, favourable for the settlement and cultivation of the prehistoric men. The Bac Son culture existed in those sediments.
