Abstract:	English summary on page 18 as follows: Recent palaeontological investigation in Ba Thuoc district (western Thanh Hoa) cleared up some caves containing sediments and animal fossils of late Pleistocene: Macaca sp, Ursus sp, Sus scrofa, Tapirus sp. Rhinoceros sp, Rusa unicolor, Mutiacus muntjac, Rattus. Thee finds no doubt share to the better understanding of ancient environment of this area during the Pleistocene.
