Inscriptions in Southern Vietnam and Southeast Asia during the 1st millenium CE are mainly originated from Indian alphabet, the Brahmi in particular. However, the questions of when and how Brahmi alphabet was transferred and spread among the societies in Southern Vietnam are still in obscure. This paper presents result of collecting archaeological remains incised with inscriptions. They are mainly gold plaques deposited under the foundation of Buddhist and Hindu architectures and some other types of archaeological artefacts. Very few of them are deciphered due to the lack of expertise on this field in Vietnam. Therefore, the dissemination of this data source aims at seeking expertise on the study of paleography and language of ancient people in Southern Vietnam. They will also a good source for the study of cultural interaction between Southeast Asian countries and Indian civilization.
