Among which 8 drums have to from and decorative designs of Heger I type, the only one Tay Thuan might belong to the intermediate type of the Heger I and III. The area where these drums have been found is along the bank of the Con River from the upper to the lower. The 6 drums are buried with artifacts such as Sa Huynh coarse pottery, agates, split earrings, human bones. The extraordinary thing is that all the 9 drums were covered with yegetal oil. The discovery of the Binh Dinh drums show the interation between the Sa Huynh Culture and the Dong Son Culture, in which Binh Dinh area plays an important role, simutaneously reflecting the cultural diversity in the hisrory.
