The survey at Bai Men site in July 1997 has yielded a lot of new date. The Bai Men has 2 cultural layers, the lower one belongs to the Dong Dau Culture, the upper one belongs, to the Coloa period. The artifacts in the lower layer are similar to those in Tu Son, Dong Lam (Bac Ninh), Dinh Trang (the lower layer), a part of the Dong Dau site (Vinh Phu), dating from 3,500-3,000 BP. The artifacts in the upper layer may be divided into 2 types with the early and late stages, also belong to the early Iron Age. Next to Dong Vong and in the connection to Dong Vong, Bai Men and other sites in the area have affirmed the continuous development of ancient Viets in the important centre - Coloa in the Hung King period, before playing the role of the Capital of the Au-Lac state.
